Rebuild & Replacement:

The Brewers Association recommends these timelines for replacing draft system components

  • Vinyl beer tubing: every 12-18 months.
  • Trunk line on long-draw systems: every 5-10 years depending on quality of maintenance
  • Glycol Power Packs will need motor and pump replacement as they wear out over the years
  • Brass components in draft systems will begin to wear out after just 18-24 months, creating pitting and a great environment for bacteria to grow rapidly between cleanings. The Funk Busters will always recommend stainless steel hardware for this reason.
